Regarding Web 2.0 Content

Hi Everyone,

I have a question regarding the web 2.0 page content i.e., we have created a web 2.0 page using some content, can we use the same content in doing Article Submissions. Is it a good practice or not. Please let me know.

Thanking You In Advance......

As of me, you can use different content for doing article submission for your site.

I am creating my profile in a list of web2.0 sites, with the content that is already present in my site. Does this helps in ranking my site keywords.?

At least as far as Google in concerned, duplicated content can be a problem. Placing content on your site, then publishing the identical content on an article submission site could lead to duplicate content issues.

If you only do one or two articles in total, it might not be a serious problem. But if you are planning to make an ongoing practice of it, you're much better off writing unique content for your website and different unique content for your article submissions.

Don't use duplicate content otherwise Google will slap you later.

I think you should change your article content. Don't use the same content in web 2.0 and article. Otherwise it will be known as a duplicate content.

If you publish duplicate content, only 1 will usually rank if that is what you are aiming for or if it is for a link then again only 1 may count or if the other does count then the link could be very weak.

You would be better to "curate" the original article onto the other platform - don't copy and paste any of it unless really appropriate - just talk about the original article and link to it. This will solve the dup content issue while passing some authority onto the original article via the link from the curated one.

Just like everyone said, avoid duplicate content. But, web 2.0's can be a good source of backlinks if you have nice content on them. Since web2.0's are usually a part of a high pr site you can get your web 2.0 profile a decent PR and when you link them to your site it is pretty powerful. It takes time but works great. Building backlinks to your web 2.0s helps out a lot.
