Hello jasminelane,

Now there are lots of financing options are available for women. If you are from USA. Than You can get Business loans for women from SBA. The SBA helps small business owners provide financing for their business. You can also apply through other resource like Biz2credit who can help you to finance your business.

Best of Luck !!

Funny but true! Love your thinking here. Money does not care about your gender and neither do banks - they just want to get repaid.

You can also look into micro lenders - who can provide up to $35,000 for start up businesses although the initial loan is usually around $10,000.

You can use personal resources to fund your business - including personal loans - know that nearly 64% of all businesses use or have used personal credit cards in their business.

Bottom line is this: Banks and lenders generally don't care about your gender - they care about your ability to make loan payments and that takes revenue. And, until you have that revenue to show a lender, you have to find ways to bootstrap - just like everyone else - men and women.

Not true. The SBA does not have programs based on gender - it is illegal. The 504 program is a community based loan program for local small businesses seeking to purchase commercial real estate or business equipment that requires the borrower (man or woman) to put down 10%, the community development company will guarantee 40% and the lending bank with the SBA will guarantee the remaining 50%. nothing here are gender.

You could do an online search for one of the many 'women helping women' groups out there. They may know of lenders that - while do not provide specific loans just to women - but may give women the same chance as men - all based on the business's wherewithal.

I haven't come across loans, where you would see women not getting loan for businesses, if their plan was good enough or if they had a collateral.

Have you guys ever come across any finance programs, where the policies, like interest rates n all, were any different based on the gender of the borrower?
