Blog And Website
Why is necessary to have a blog spot for your business besides the official website. Ins't that double work?

I found this article to be very helpful when I was pondering "blogging"

Me experience is that so called 'blogs' seem to be directed towards you, the owner. speaking their mind. But you can do that on your website.

That way, you're helping your entire website move up the rankings. And don't forget, if you're not adding to a blog in a real regular basis (2 times a week or more at the least) then it looks like old info and people don't stick around.

Hope this helps!

Having a blog is extra work, but it's a good way to display your expertise, and gain links from other sites.

I usually recommend companies do not start a separate blog (such as at blogspot), but place the blog directly on their website, ie or

If you use an external blog, you lose much of the benefit that can come from people linking to the posts.

Integrate you blog into your website. Your website will not need updating that much, it's static. Adding the blog will make you site more dynamic and give people reason to keep coming back.

A blog is a great way to direct traffic to your site and gain link backs. It will also help you develop your online presence.

No question that a blog is extra work, but setting up blog on your company's website is a great way to increase your exposure in the search engines and social media.

A blog gives your vistors/customers a place to interact with you and each other via commenting. (A blog builds community) If setup correctly, you can have your blog linked to both your Facebook and Twitter accounts. That way each time you post a new blog post, your Facebook and Twitter are automatically updated. So your fans and followers are directed back to your blog...which leads them to other areas on your website and eventually leads to sales.

In summary a blog can help you in the search engines, but also in social media sites like Facebook and Twitter.

That's an excellent article, Mktgbiz. Thanks for linking it. The comments are also good--the two about having a static front page are particularly helpful.
