You have already asked yourself a very important question: how many people would actually want to buy a PC from my website when they could go down the local store to pick one up?

I think you need to get your target audience right. Most normal computer users would not buy from you. They would rather buy from their local stores or from Dell online. Nowadays people don't really care so much about the detailed specs of a PC.

But there might be a market for gamers. Approach the gamer communities to find out about their needs and buying habits. That would give you a better idea of whether there is a market for your service.
