Default How Am I Doing?

About 2-3 months ago i launched my website. To be honest I have self taught myself regarding SEO.

My site is number 8 on page 2 or Google already for my keyword Intensive Driving Course Bristol. (From 10 to 2 in a matter of weeks...NOT bad me thinks)

As you can probably see I have taylored the site to that one keyword as that is quite a lucrative line of business to be in regarding being a driving instructor.

I have added backlinks and content, also have left my signature about some forums etc. I have looked at my competitors regarding their backlinks etc etc but am not running out of ideas.

Can someone help me with that all important step onto the first page and then obviously scoring well for more keywords.

Please be quite explanitory as I dont understand everything (example would be Stumble upon???!!! , havent got a clue what that is and how it works)

Site - www.intensivedrivingcoursebristol.com

Thanks in advance.

Matt.

Matt, SEO is a HUGE topic. Way more than could be handled in a single forum post. Fortunately, there are a lot of great resources out there to help you learn more about SEO.

A good place to start is with Google's own SEO Starter Guide. (So much for the notion that Google "hates" SEO. )

I also found this Search Engine Journal article. It's a few years old, but most of the resources it mentions are still viable and valuable.

If you have specific questions, please don't hesitate to ask!

What you are doing is perfect. One of the most important things as per my observation which we need to include in our practices are as follows

1. Linking proportion should be 65% anchor text for brand name and 35% anchor text for all keywords in the list.
2. Very strong onsite optimization, use micro formats for addresses as they make a difference in mobile search results.
3. Check for sitewide links. In the case of GMRT Transcription and most other of our internal sites were penalized on two accounts-- server issues and sitewide links. GMRT partially regained rankings only after sitewide links to it were removed from GMRW and GMRWM.
4. Use synonyms.
5. Build strong brand and use brand name in social media.
6. Build the association of the brand name with the service or product in social media.

Hey mate! You are going great on your way. But let me tell one thing no one can make you understand what to do in just one reply. For this i want to suggest you to visit smoz.org or searchengineland.com . These sites are best in providing SEo knowledge. But to start you may consider doing relevant directory, submissions, article submission and forum postings. But how they work , learn it from the sites i have suggested or google.

Thanks for all your comments.

Just a quick one...what are all the abreviations?

And also where do I add my article submissions?

Thanks

Matt.

To be honest, I don't think you are anywhere near where you can be for that keyword. That word can't have a whole lot of competition or search volume. A good thing to do, would be to guest post for others blogs that are relevant to your site, and include a link back to your site. That is considered a high quality link. Hope this helps.
