Default NEED Your Suggestions

Hi All,

I currently publish my own service-based graphic design website (desainonline). Now, I have traffic target in 3 months at least 500 visitors per day.. Do you have some experience that you want to share with me how to achieve it? I'm expert enough in graphic design service but still a newbie in online marketing.

Please don't forget to review the website.

Thanks All!

First question: how did you set that goal of 500 visitors per day? What do you believe will happen if you hit that goal? And why are you focusing on traffic and not on sales?

See, there are any number of ways you can get hundreds, perhaps even thousands of visitors through your site. But unless those visitors are targeted, prepared-to-purchase customers, all the traffic in the world won't help. Traffic without sales is just a waste of bandwidth.

Getting more traffic often requires the cooperation of other websites -- getting sites like search engines to send you visitors, for instance. It's hard work, at least some of it is out of your control and/or expensive, and it could all go away -- poof! -- in an instant (say, if for some reason the search engines decide to de-list your site for some reason, or there's a glitch in the search results).

Increasing your conversion rate, on the other hand, is almost entirely under your control. It has to do with the content and copy on your pages, your site navigation and architecture, the checkout process, the appearance of your pages. It's just as hard work as getting more traffic, but if done right it's more of a sure thing and will pay dividends for a long time to come.

Lots of websites convert fewer than 2% of their visitors to customers. Many convert fewer than 1%! If you can double your conversion rate, you double your sales -- without increasing your traffic at all.

I know this doesn't directly answer your question, but if I were in your place I'd be focusing more on how many sales per month you need to turn a profit, rather than just on raw traffic numbers. Then analyze your site to see where you're losing visitors, and target those areas for improvement.

You just may find you can reach your business goals with a lot fewer than 500 visitors per day.

My

If your target is to attract SO many visitors you have to hire SEO specialists who will promote it on the net (especially if you don't know how to do it effectively). SEO specialists know what to do and how to achieve it. But 500 visitors a day - you have to invent or introduce something extraordinary.

Three things: 1) Time, 2) patience, and 3) Hard work - do these and you will hit your goal.

Hello Bayusyerli,

I checked your website and saw you had a blog. This is great because that alone will build your presence in the search engines. In other words it will help out with SEO.

If you are looking to build traffic then a great way to build targeted traffic is through articles on the online submission directories. Write an article with content, like in your blog posts, then you put your website link in the reference box. You can also setup backlinks through social bookmarking. One more thing is doing podcasts or a Youtube channel. Do a Youtube short video and give some good content. For example, do a video version of one of your blog posts, then at the end leave your URL. This will get your name out there and will get you the traffic you are looking for. Targeted traffic. This will be a good start on getting you the kind of conversion rates that Torka was talking about.

Good luck to you and your endeavors,
MacB

Torka is correct, amount of visitors means nothing unless you are serving adsense ads.... What matters is conversions.

I have mixed feelings about blogs because I believe we are really getting "blogged out".. For example; blogs on SEO... UGH.... it is like a shark show on discovery channel, you seen one, you have seen em all.

I think a lot of promise for traffic lies in social networking... I hate to say it but from twitter, facebook, etc, etc. They dont appear to be going away any time soon sooooo It is a good way to reach people for sure.

I hate to say it again but you need to convert the traffic that does come to your web site so assuming you do here are a couple of things you can do to drive traffic to your site.

#Article Marketing
# Search Engine Marketing
# Pay Per Click
# Joint Ventures
# Banner Ads
# CPA Networks
# Media Buys
# Ezine Advertising
# Social Media Marketing
# Improve Link structure and better use of anchor text
# Using Google Base
# Use Alt tags for image search

Marketing online is about having a consistent message when ever your visitor sees your ads. Doing some type of marketing everyday is essential if you are going to be doing it yourself.

My advise come up with a simple strategy to leverage at least 8-10 different traffic sources and work at them one at a time.

Marketing online you need one of two things time or money the more money you have the less time you need to put in because you can hire someone to do the work.

If you can't afford to hire someone to do your online marketing you need to spend a lot of time marketing online to get those results.

Which ever way you go the work still needs to be done.

Good Luck!
