As much as you want as long as it is still related to you niche. Doesn't mean you should spam low quality content just for traffic. You should focus on the quality of the content because it is what keeps them coming back.

As you can an clearly see there are various opinions on what you should choose for your blog. My question to you is do you have a small following that reads your blog? If yes get feedback from your readers ask them what they would like to see from you in the future. After all they are who you are writing to, and they will help spread word of your blog to others.

It's good to have a niche, but it could be a more general niche, like lifestyle bloggers. Whatever you choose, make sure it's something with infinite possibilities for posts, something dynamic that you're interested in enough to never run out of things to say. Some very niche topics can be pretty limited if you're not careful.

Default sometimes blogs must be fun

I set my blog up just a few months ago and have had thousands of visitors in a very short time. I have found I like to put what is interesting to me on my blog and to show i am a 'real person' with real interests.
Obviously I do show my ebook on there but i have found my blog is my outlet for my passion for writing and I enjoy it.

I had a free domain from wordpress. I updated it for six months and published my content in it. After six months my domain was expired due to inappropriate usage. Why ? I have some paid blogs of wordpress and I manage them on regular basis with same criteria. What should we do if we have to run a free wordperss blog?

You can write on different topics but ensure they are relevant to your target audience. Create categories in your blog so that you can classify your posts appropriately!

Focus on your area of expertise. Posting too many topics may get you confused in choosing the right keywords to promote your website on search engines.
