Default Hard Working UK Entrepreneur Looking For US Partner

Hello, my name is David Gilmore and I live in the UK. I am a 35 year old entrepreneur with years of experience in sales and marketing. I made a lot of money in real estate before the recession. I lost everything and now I am seeking a new opportunity.

I would ideally like to distribute a US product in the UK.

I have experience in real estate, furniture, toys and electrical products.

What I would like to ask is does anyone know where I should start? How do I find a great US product that I can sell in the UK and how do I find a good partner where we can both profit?

Thank you in advance.

Hi davidgilmoreUK!

Sounds interesting. Having done some work in the UK in the past, I can tell you that there are several differences in the markets. Some that you may not even realize right now... it can come back and 'bite' you if you know what I mean.

You don't indicate what type of money you're willing to invest. To start, I might look at some of the 'As Seen on TV' type of items. Yes, a lot of junk gets pitched on late night television... but on the other hand, they are doing it because it sells.

I am not implying that you sell junk. I think there are some good products that you have to 'look' for. It could be a place to start.

Hope this helps! Good luck!
