Default It depends

On what you're selling! Is your product $10, or $1000. That makes a big difference, because consumers do a lot more research and approach a purchase a lot differently if it's a computer rather than a box of cereal.

I would say that with the invention of the internet, advertising has been changed dramatically, which in turn has changed the approach to getting sales. Instead of beaming a message over television to people watching, you can blog, post, create websites, share information about your product/service much more easily and cheaply. I'm not sure what you're selling, but if you want to save money and reach more people, go with the web.

Run an ad during The Super Bowl.

You didn't say 'cheapest' way to get sales.

too but I guess not in sales. You have to make sure that you're selling products that people are looking for. Also, you should know what you're selling. I mean, consumers are equipped with questions about a product that they wanna buy. So, would it be nice if you are equipped with best answers about your product? Goodluck!

like soap, shampoo etc.. which is used daily.

Default Too General To Give a Good Answer

The nature of the question is just way too general to give an answer that's worth anything.

Are you talking about...

- selling in a internet store?
- selling capital equipment to businesses?
- selling to the consumer in retail?
- selling financial products?
- selling to consumers in their homes?
- network or multi-level marketing?
- telemarketing?
- are you talking about marketing, or selling?

There are just so many different kinds of selling, and so many different markets, that it makes it difficult to answer "what is the easiest way to get sales?"

I agree with Skip. The volume of what you want to sell and your target audience are key to knowing how to plan your marketing strategy. That said getting your name and the service you provide out into the open market is always a good idea. The more people that see your name the more chances for you to generate interest. If you have something unique or are a professional in what you are trying to sell, you could use something like articles to generate interest in the product as well as attaching your name to the said product.

The easiest way to get sales is directly contacting companies which may need our products. An online business directories is a key to obtain accurate and updated contact information in less than a minute.

To get sales your marketing has to be targeted to a specific customer profile. Often you will get responses from customers not in mind, but the fact you marketing has been specific in itself will bring better results than a 'shot gun' dispersed effort.

The easiest way to get sales is just ASK FOR THE SALE. I have seen many great marketing pieces and advertisements that at the end never ask for the sale. I know this seems too simple, but its true. At the end of every marketing piece or advertisement there had better be a call to action telling your prospect what you want them to do next. On a long marketing piece or advertisement you better place your call to action in several times. Think of an infomercial, they ask your for the sale every few minutes. You need to do the same thing. It amazes me that most people put all the effort into the presentation but never asks for the sale.

Hope this helps.

I’ve used of a number of business directories to get sales leads, but none of them is exclusively for sales leads. However, you should take a look at Jigsaw. This is a business directory, but they offer sale leads as well. You may find their services helpful.
