There are many free hosting providers.. but know that along with free hosting you will be limited to many features as compared to paid hosting.

I think for this year, there are some providers like 000webhost and Hostgator that offers free but keep in mind that the performance is far less than a paid one.

I have to laugh when I read this thread, because my hosting pays me.

You never know what kind of deal you can get until you try.

Forget about free web hostings plans, you will only get garbage in free. You can face many server related problems like website shut down, website graphics and even website modification.

GoDaddy is having problems these days. They boast of am award winning customer support. However, their customer care team never bother to call back or email on any issue. Godaddy offers some nice deals to get people to sign up, then when the hosting comes to an end, the renewal price is a lot more expensive. When the domain name registration period comes to an end, then the renewal price is also hiked.

The price increase is not news for those who pay attention, it clearly states what it will be when you first sign up and sticks with it. I have used GoDaddy for domain names for over a decade and NEVER had a problem with support. In fact, they are more likely to go the extra mile to solve a problem than anyone else I have used. I have had them stick with me for an hour to resolve an issue.

As per my view free web hosting is not good idea to start you online business. When your business growing you need good website with good web hosting.Free web hosting will not provide you a good support,Good server time.So you can take atleast cheap web hosting who will provide good support.I will say you have to go with waxspace, they provides good service with very cheap price..

All the WORST hosts I've had over the years were pricey - and their only interest was making money.

Blogger is fast, free and hardly ever down, but you need to tweek it to make it good.

You do need to make sure your agenda is not to make money though, or your site can be terminated if it's reported or they find it. Look around the Internet and you will find plenty of cases this happened with no notice.

That's the problem with a lot of free alternatives. They have restrictive Terms of Service to limit the types of content you can post, and they generally reserve the right to delete your account at any time for any reason (or for no reason at all) with no advance notice. Not to mention you rarely get things like telephone support (sometimes, no support at all beyond online help files). It's OK maybe for a persona blog or something, but running a business website on a free hosting platform would scare the bejeebers out of me.
