Hi Bryan, you have work to do. I think others will chime in more, but for starters consider first if this is going to be the site you will have for a long time. I'm not sure I would go through the effort of optimizing the site (it isn't) instead of putting your efforts to a new site with search engine optimization considered throughout the development process. Consider that first.

lol. yes. for starters changing your home page title to lawn care is better but not good. For example, include your city, state, zip code and area code/phone number in the title tag is my suggestion as the search engines are not going to consider your site as one of the top for [Lawn Care] but they may for [Lawn Care City State]. I'd recommend each page have a unique title tag targeting a type of service/topic of yours in coordination with geolocation keywords that are likely to be relevant for your business.

If i'm in florida and search lawn care and find your site, you'll never get me to be a customer :P

Here is a quick email I put together for someone who wanted me to look at their site:

XXX -

I started to dig into your website, so I could offer you some more detailed information. Lets start with optimizing your pages:

You need to be targeting two keywords with each page. Each page should have different keywords and meta data, as you don't want to cannibalize your pages - You want them all to give you the most search traffic possible.

Right now, your main page is targeting one keyword string: "Handcrafted Beaded Jewelry" Setup your title like this: Westernsparkle.com | Handcrafted Beaded Jewelry | Insert one more string

Here is a link to help you find easier keywords and strings: https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal

Once again, each page title should start with: Westernsparkle.com | Unique and relevant keyword string | Unique and relevant keyword string

Every sub page should contain the keyword string in the url. Example: http://www.westernsparkle.com/wooden...orn-beads.html

Make sure to also target the keywords and/or strings in the meta description and meta keywords. You want to make sure the keywords are also in at least an H1 tag, and as many more headings as possible. Get the keywords in the first hundred words as many times as possible. Bold the keywords. Make all of your alt image data turn into the keywords strings.

Next, you need to get backlinks that validate your keyword strings. Submit your site to directories, post on dofollow message boards, trade links. However, in the title sections, make sure it’s targeting your keyword string and not the company name. You want the anchor text to match your keywords.

You’re doing good with the blog postings and twitter, but make sure to add a Facebook fan page. Facebook is huge, and with some updates, contests, etc – You can create a good social community.

I don't think if I was looking for a lawn service I wouldn't be looking online. I would let my fingers do the walking. Just my opinion. You might consider fliers for your business being it is local. You could put your URL there. Just a suggestion.
As far as the site I do suggest a complimentary color to go with the green. I know green says grass but it is a little much on the page. Again, just my opinion. Good luck.

I agree about the flyers', every year we put an insert in a local paper that reaches 30k resi's/biz's ..plus we have an event downtown Stillwater, Mn called "LumberJack Days" and we just hammer them out there...

Default Hi Bryan

I am having a few display issues in safari, you might want to check on that.

Grab your visitors attention at first, gain their trust, then get them to contact you.

You have some good photography, I would recommend getting some more. This should help gain their attention. Your about us page is doing a pretty good job at gaining trust but I think a portfolio would help gain even more trust. Make it easier for them to contact you as well. At the bottom of the about us page you have call us, but no number. I would put your number at the bottom so your visitors don't have to go up to the header. Speaking of the header, I feel like you can use that real estate a little better. Make your phone number and email larger and maybe a different color. This should make it easier to find.

Good luck!

HI ringahding

Content. You are missing content. I agree with others here about Title and Meta Description, but content.

Why is lawn care important?
What makes good lawn care?
Lawn Care in YOUR AREA? Here's the difference:
How To Maintain your lawn:
How to Water your lawn the right way:
The difference with professional lawn care:

I could go on and on.. but that content would make your site a real good resource and then back it with pictures.

Also... TELL YOUR STORY. This is so simple and most clients look at me like I lost it. But it's worked countless times... TELL YOUR STORY. Tell your visitors what you do. Don't have to give away the 'family secrets', but explain it to them. When you ask people to read it... I guarantee they will tell you that 'they didn't realize there's that much to it'. I guarantee it!!

There is an old article about Clyde Hopkins (still considered the father of advertising) where he helped a 5th place US brewer get to the top of the market just by TELLING THE STORY. It's a concept of EDUCATING your customer. They respect the fact that you treat them properly and educate them to show them... they aren't going to do it themselves. Believe me. And if they do... they were never your customer.

Hope this helps! Good luck!
