Default Has Anyone Hired From Freelancer.com?

Just wondering if anyone has hired anyone from freelancer.com

This place has many people willing to help but it seems like there all from different country's and most only having about a 50% completion rate. I guess it just seems a little "sketchy".

Has anyone hired someone from freelancer that has done a good job?

hi mike, for sure you can find someone there who can provide you with a good job. A good point to consider I believe is to check on the feedback or comments of the freelancer's previous client..

I hire alot from freelancer. I've done over 50 projects there and havent had too many bad experiences. You just need to look for someone who has alot of 5 star reviews. You also pay through their escrow service, so you dont have to worry as much about getting scammed.

I have. It was a long process, and since you have no access to the candidates past jobs, b/c freelancer.com wants to avoid providing you with a way to contact them directly, you have do good questions in your posting. I suggest this because their responses, way of writing and such, will let you see some of their qualifications and begin the selection process.

Of two posts, I only hire on one post. In the other post, I did not find a suitable candidate, but still had to pay the fee.

It was a good experience.

I found a few good graphic artists. i had them e-mail me their portfolios, phone numbers-I used the site's PM messgae. In the add I stated "USA resident prefered", and got several good prospects.

I have NOT officially used one yet-it's for a future project.

I'm curious how the site makes money.

Hope this was some what helpful.

Lightbulb From Freelancer

I used Freelancer's service few times and there have been ups and downs...

With this new interface they've proposed for both freelancers and employees it's easier to hire someone with very good skills as employees can't bid anymore to all projects without reading the description. They are limited to a number of bids to apply to and increases in time with their experience.

The down-part now for freelancer is that your project is delayed and you receive only few bids (if any), so you need to pay more to attract employees.

Hope to be useful.
