FB Pages, in my opinion, should be used as a viral-component of your marketing program, not the sole avenue for it. Facebook pages are a great tool for increasing the reach of your audience for free as well as generating more business and of course revenue for it.
The easiest way of bringing more likes/fans/members to your Facebook page is by using your other marketing materials, whether it's your website, direct mail pieces, in store literature etc. to have the 'like' or 'join' your page and instantly receive a coupon or what not.
This allows you to use the coupon as a segmentation sale and then the Facebook page as a continual marketing tool for your members.
However, just as a thought, you may want to use Facebook Groups rather than Pages, as Pages FB only displays your content up to 16% of your members (once you get larger). With Facebook groups, EVERYONE gets your messages.
