Google need unique content for every website just to stop the spammers raising quickly in SERP by copying the content from top quality domains and pasting in their websites.

After the recent Google Panda update, the site which is already ranking for the duplicate content will not help in ranking a site anymore.

paydayloans123, ultimately that's what the user wants. What if you wanted the latest information about a news event happening in your city. If you clicked on an article and went to a news web site and they had an article that would be fine--but if you went to another news site and they had the same information or the same exact article, word for word, would you find that helpful? Probably not.

People want to read unique content on web sites--if the search results always had the same exact content, word for word, we wouldn't like it.

Unique content plays major role in ranking any web page, as the above users said people want unique content to be seen when they search online in any given time.

Many publishers use some sort of Uniquefier Plugins to show spiders their content is unique. Now google knows each and every trick these publishers using to skip copied content penalty.

Hence using Unique content for your web pages not only increases your SERP but also credibility of your website

Because it presents the most relevant & latest data and information via its search results pages the moment someone types in a search query. Google’s crawlers are constantly adding new websites to its index and it will be an understatement to say that Google Loves Content!

It’s not just duplicate content that will affect where you rank it seems but Matt Cutts of Google’s Webspam team also wants to see you bring additional value. If you have the same content as another site just written differently Google will try to catch this and while based on other factors you might have ranked second to another similar page you could get knocked down off the first page.

The idea is that if you rank #1 in Google, it's because your page is actually the best result for that search term.

So you have to ask yourself if your page actually DESERVES that top position.
If it doesn't, then you've got some work to do

Hi,

Google doesn't care whether you have unique content or not on your site.

What Google does care about is that they don't want to offer the same information over and over again; they want to offer the user a range of information for their search. So if they think two pages have the same content then they will deem one to be more valuable than the other and either not display the lower valued one at all or offer it lower than that deemed more valuable.

So, Google doesn't care if you have unique content or not, but you do if you rely on being found in the SERPs to bring you business etc.
