Default Pricing Seminars?

Is there any rule of thumb for pricing a Seminar?

Is it based on length of Seminar? Hourly fee? ....?

Pricing For 1/2 Day Seminar?

Pricing for Full Day Seminar?

It will be on Powerpoint and include a black and white 70 page copied Course Manual for each student.
The Seminar will include lunch (my cost $11.00 per person) and I project 10-20 people attending.

Just some suggestions please.

Thank You

Considering what you'll be providing, $165 is a great deal for the attendees.

Default Who Knows

How much should a seminar be? Who Knows.
There are many schools of thought on that and I'm sure there are many "know it alls" out there who think they know how much they should charge for a seminar, but in the end, who knows?
Of course basic marketing teaches us to take into consideration the product itself and our customers. The four Ps as determined by marketing 101. Product, Price, Placement (I call this one distribution) and Promotion.
So you have to ask yourself how much is your time worth? But don't forget, if your product lacks value, it won't matter how much YOU think your time is worth because no one will want it. How much is the market willing to pay is the better question? Your seminar price should reflect what the market is willing to pay. Forget about how much time or money you've invested into the seminar, if it is customers you want, you may actually have to pay to get them. This of course if you are just starting out. It's the old Geico Insurance model.."growth over profits". Now look at Geico!
Once you have established your seminars, then you can factor your time, your costs, your etc, etc.
