You didn't mention what type of business you would like to start, it would've been more helpful. However, I guess your question also refers to money. If you have your own savings but it's not enough to fund the company, you could appeal to family and friends, it's the cheapest method. After that, as you're going to need more money to expand, you should try to convince an investor to provide more capital, proving them that your product or service idea is worth investing in. Whether you choose angel investors or venture capital firms, you'd better focus on the business plan and the executive summary first, as they will ask you a lot of questions about future financial projections and not only.
