Default Plastics resources

I'm currently doing a search for a Virginia based company that can take a product design and make it more.. um.. attractive. I have the product created in 3D, and can have a friend whip out a CAD drawing if necissary, but I need to find a company that at the very least can make an injection mold prototype.
I'm still looking for the info myself, but I thought I'd post the query here as well.
Thanks.

My ex husband used to work at a projection molding company. It is up in Sonora or Tuolumne, California. The name is Mother Lode Plastics.

I'm sure they are still in business. I know there is also one in the bay area, but I'm not sure the name of that company.

I'll check it out.

*sigh* There is the catch 22. How do you get a company to understand what you need done, without revealing the un-patented product..

This is why I like software programming so much. The product is pretty much ready to go if you want to sell it on the web.

Unfotunately, my best idea is a physical product.

It is, I believe patentable though. It has been a life dream of mine to patent something.

I'm babbling again.

"Pay no attention to that man behind the keyboard!"

Just a suggestion, but it may be worth while to talk to a lawyer who specializes in patents. There may be a contract that he/she can draft up and a step by step process that they can recommend.

True. I happen to know a Patent lawyer (okay, for any of you out there that know me, no jokes. I don't hate all lawyers )

I'll have to find out about that.

I'm considering just selling the idea to someone.

Good move LPS,

I recently came up with a concept for estate agents (real estate ) It allowed everyone to advertise properties for free with the revenue stream coming from elsewhere. While developing it , I spoke to a large estate agent, who instantly told me he wanted to buy the concept from me. I thought what the hell, and sold it within a few weeks.

Sometimes a bird in the hands etc
