This is about opt-in lists. If you're putting lists together yourself, you really need to watch and be sure you're being reported as spam. The CAN-SPAM Act can bite!

Default Wrong Concepts

Everyone is worried about the size of the email list. That is wrong thinking. It is not the size but the quality. 5000 on your list but only one sale is not as good as a target group of only 10 and you get 6 sales. Think how can I get targeted leads for my company and focus on it.

There are many different ways to boost the effectiveness of list marketing.First and foremost,ask yourself why people are subscribing?If it's solely a matter of receiving a freebie,you might be attracting nominally interested tire kickers instead of real potential customers.Another thing,ask yourself if you personally would be interested to read the emails you're dispatching.It's easy to let your desire to turn a profit cloud your efforts to construct a truly helpful and appreciated series of messages.You want to build trust and credibility.See to it that your messages are accomplishing that.
Patience is key though.Building a credible list doesn't happen overnight-as you may have realised by now.

At this point I think you are doing very well. It takes some times you know. Just keep doing what you are doing and find ways and ideas to create more content.

You could have 1 subscriber who buys a whole service from you or 240 who buy nothing. As pointed out, it is more about QUALITY than QUANTITY and what content you send to them each campaign.

Still, 240 is a very good start!

I see you dont use social networks to market , brand and attract new people to your website? what are you waitting for ? Social Marketing can skyrocket your business get you traffic and eventually get more people to subscribe.

240 seems like you are doing well. In a previous job, we had only a handful of people subscribing a week sometimes. If we were lucky, we had a dozen in a week (plus those who were opting out). It was a slow process but we finally built up a series of databases where thousands of people got our newsletters and about a third of them actually opened the newsletter. It's a long hard process, but like others have said, it's the quality of the people that have signed up. I'm sure you'd rather have people that are genuinely interested in your products or services than people who might feel like then were conned into signing up and send your emails straight to the junk file. Hopefully you are continuing to do well.

It's important that we are reminded that in this part of the business, that quality matters than the quantity. It's vital for you to get a set of prospects that would have a higher rate of conversion to become customers. Building a quality list doesn't happen overnight, it takes patience. Still is a good start but just keep this in mind, so not to waste your efforts too.
