Default What strategies do you use to increase your affiliate sales?

Hi Everyone,

I have some products, which I think are really fantastic and I also get quite a lot of click-throughs, but (nearly)no sales.

I few things I'm tending to do now are:

* I focus only on a "handful" of top affiliate products instead of promoting tons of different products.

* I verify the demand for a specific product – mostly I check the ranking in clickbank for products that are appropriate for my niche.

* Sales copy & design of sales page – I'm not 100% sure, but I get the feeling that sales letters with weak graphics (header, cover, product boxes…) just don't convert very well.

* Competition – I try to stay away from products which are heavily promoted by a huge number of affiliates. Do you know any reliable ways of checking out the density of your competition? One thing I do is to look at Google & Google AdWords to get a basic idea for the competition.

These little "tricks" definitely improved my results, but I'm sure there's more… Any ideas?

Thanks.

Robert

In my testing of having a product box and not having a product box, the product box out-performed no product-box by about 80%. Of course, if you're talking about the quality of the image, then yeah, there's probably an effect there.

I use the allintitle search in Google frequently to check for saturation. (As a first step, not as the all-inclusive answer).

Default May I Add...

First of all, are they your products, or are they affiliate products?

No matter what they are, I have a few key things to add:
1. Know you number. Lifetime customer value is important. If you don't have any long time customer yet, and are not willing to lost, at least do a campaign that at least will break even. If you do PPC, then calculate those numbers like clicks and conversion. It depends on how good you are to optimize, but definitely know how much you can spend per click, for example.

2. Build your asset. Leverage email marketing by building your niche targeted list. Capture names, build relationship and trust, and promote.

3. Constantly look out for relevant products that you can promote on backend.

This is when things become interesting. If you can get sales from backend products, you can invest more on your lead acquisition.

With that said, there is nothing that prevent you to promote a bunch of products. Just do it one at a time, do your best to optimize and create a profitable campaign, before moving to another.
