I love selling face to face, find it very natural for the most part. But when it comes to writing something to sell? Argh! It's worse than a root canal.

Default Love to Sell

I would have to say that I love to sell. I have done it from cold calling, telemarketing, to retail. Everytime I try to do something else I hate it and always go back to Sales. I believe I have found my calling. I have a very up-beat personality and smile all the time. I have a college professor that just calls me happy because you rarely see me without a happy look on my face. People buy from those they like: make a friend and make a sale!

Well, well, don't make the customer dizzy with industry knowledge! We all know that customers love to buy, they don't like to be sold to (think that is a Gitomer phrase again). No one wants to hear about your company, about what you do. They want to know what you are going to do for THEM, specifically. As a previous poster said, its about being a solution provider, not a salesman.

Place yourself as a trusted solution provider and ally to your customer, personally or in business to business, and you are a top salesman.
