Default Good to know that it shows up in Google search

Thanks for that thought. That's good to know there are other benefits than direct traffic from people searching specifically through Craigslist. I've just started advertising in Craiglist and it's gotten me max about 3 hits total (it's been up for about 3 days). We don't have a very big advertising budget, so Craigslist is one of our options for now.

Didn't you read my article? The only way to know if Craigslist will work for you is to try it.

I've found that most of the leads we ever get from Craigslist people are very weak. Either they want a lot of work done for very little or they end up flaking out on you.

Absolutely correct. If you meet a lot of competiton, the craiglist just a time eater.

Well I post for my painting business, and it works but it's like you say a lot of work.

I use Craigs to send people to my website and squeeze pages -- then, I get some action

It is very important that you add a counter somewhere to watch for traffic -- I get hundreds of hits on a advertisement a month

make necessary changes to headlines and content to improve clickthrough

FYI

I had this same problem when I posted my moving business in the moving section. Not only that, I used to get calls from other movers telling me that I need to change my prices. I was a big headache but I did do very well with my payday loan site that I used to post but now craigslist blacklist affiliate links.

Craigslist is effective once advertiser can put appealing titles and unique invitation in craigslist page, craigslist is active trade listing that always innovate their tracking technologies against spam and PVA marketing so I am sure they really serious to make their advertiser get best what they post in CL

Craigslist is a great place for finding clients. The only issue with it is that it is Nofollow so it doesn't help with Google rank.
