Citations...dont have a clue what you are on about!!

And no, all of my competitiors dont have anymore reviews than me!!

It all happened when i decided to add a few pictures and update my profile with my new free phone number!!!!

Why would that boot me off??

When i search for A & M School of Motoring (which tends not to get searched for) i still dont appear!!!

I just wish someone could explain why i have been knocked off and how to get back on!!

Lenzcrafter - is your local page new? I had issues with my page...it kept on appearing and then disappearing...but now the page is more established and it's showing full force. Do you have reviews? Reviews will help. So will citations. Here's a video I did on citations that will help explain what they are: http://www.websiteboostershot.com/th...cal-citations/

his page has been up for years now, so it may be that his area is not well known

the best way to do that is building links and getting your website more popular by getting more traffic

Just my experience. Fill out all the spaces on your local places account is a great start. To me it seems G is verifying the company information. So if you have the business address, telephone number, etc. on local business directories/citations Google supposedly ranks a site higher in the local paces A to G.
A site still can be above all the local places businesses. And the spot A-G a business is at can be affected with link building. So I don't use local directories /citations anymore.

If something isn't working after a couple weeks try something different. Testing what I do, I find is beneficial.

Here are some sites I use to leave listings at if you are looking.

There is no doubt that Google places is currently going through a bit of a revolution. We have seen numerous examples of listings that have gone through quite dramatic changes over recent months. Google has tightened up considerably on its rules for a successful listing and this has certainly impacted on many businesses who have either been less than honest with their original setup. However, there are definitely issues with some businesses who have followed the rules but still seem to be experiencing problems. Under these circumstances, our recommendation at the moment is to simply sit tight while Google refines and corrects its algorithm.

Even after ranking highly when they changed the way they show their results!
Come on people...there must be someone out there who knows?

Try this out! Restore the previous changes and observe the results. I suppose this would help you to great extend.

Same thing happened to me today guys

my website http://www.policrete.com.au was in spot B of google places and today its back down into the organic. Still page 1 so I won't cry too loudly but I didn't make any changes to it. And I doubt that the other guys all made changes to push me off the top 7.

One of the competitors that jumped into my spot also has 3 listing for the same keyword, all the same phone number but from different false address'.

I tried notifying google of this but they haven't done anything yet. And here I am pushed down the screen.

Not sure how it all works, would love to know tho.
