Is domain age is considered mainly for the ranking of the website?

if yes, then
Is to possible to rank better than older domain websites?

As per Matt Cutts statement, for new website, there is little weight given to domain age. For a new site, domain age is a factor, because typically a new site does not have much content on it, so for that reason it will be more difficult to rank well in the search index. After a few months, site rankings can be based on giving visitors the good content they are looking for, so at that point age is no longer such an important issue.

You can definitely rank using new domain having,

• Unique, high quality content
• The quantity of content
• External back-links from high authoritative domain to your content

There is still no confirm answer to this questions. Sometime it is said website domain age matters while some say it is not considered as a ranking factor.

But if over all Google algorithm are considered are considered than yes, domain age does matters. As new domain means zero DA PA of the website and website will be in Sandbox for some time. Depending on the quality of backlinks, Google start ranking those website somewhere in SERP.

If we check domain age of the top ranking sites in Google, than we will have to believe that yes Domain age is one of the SEO ranking factor.

Yes as always domain age matters in getting the website rank in search engines. It is one of the important factor in ranking. If you are going to target for highly competitive keyword then in this case the domain age is highly considered. But for a new website if we try to add fresh and quality content on a regular basis, and if you are going to target for low competitive keywords then we can achieve the rankings easier.

Domain Age is one the ranking factor. You can rank better than older domain websites if you follow these practices:

Use great content
Generate quality backlinks
Use long tail keywords
Make your website more user-friendly
Reduce bounce rate

Domain age refers to the length of time that a website has been registered and active. Domain age conveys trust to website visitors and to the search engines.
