Default Widgets Are Cool Aren't They?

I've been toying around with feed widgets lately and they're a pretty neat little function to spotlight feeds and writings. You can customize border colors, add a logo, graphic or pic and poof - a neat little tool.

I've just created one in the bottom right column on this page if you're unsure what a feed widget is or if you'd like to create one of your own. (You can click on the tiny link underneath and "get the widget.")

I'd like to see other examples of widgets from those of you out there using them. What do you think about these neat little tools?

This is a pretty neat function. I found your's and I myself am now toying around with it. When I get it down pat I'll let you see it. Thanks for the intro.

I read that widgets are the new thing that every website owner/blogger has to have. Maybe I am behind, but I am trying to catch up with it all....lol.
I breifly looked into them and was a bit confused as to what to do with one on my site....my blog maybe or my MySpace or Facebook but not sure how I could use one on my site....any ideas?
And I will look into the Google Gadgets too, thanks!

Handbeaded,
You can create a widget for your blog. If you publish it to let others use it, they can actually place a widget on THEIR blog that shows YOUR latest posts.

Your can also place that widget on your blog as well (that shows your latest posts) and maybe a visitor will see it and want to "get it" for their blog to display your latest posts on their site.

I have added a widget for one of my favorite sites on my blog. It gives my readers an opportunity to click on over and visit my friend. After doing this originally, that site owner saw the links coming in, contacted me, and then posted several links to my blog from his in return for the favor. His site has a higher volumn of traffic, so it's done my blog some good and built my technorati incoming links score for me, too.

Try it and maybe you can create some "link love" back to your site . . . .

Thank you. I will try to figure it all out. And hopefully it will work for me.
