What about pocasting for your home business?

I think podcasting could be good as a newsletter-alternative. However, with a podcast, it definitely needs to be much heavier on the value-added content and less on the self-promotion/advertising. Unlike RSS feeds and email subscriptions, I think people are more selective with which podcasts they listen too (at least I am). I only subscribe to about 3-4 podcasts and I unsubscribe pretty quickly if I'm not getting any value out of it.

bitdaddy i think you state it very well, people who are downloading large podcast files and listening to it want good information and not promotional information. listening to a podcast is a much bigger investment in your time than reading 4 lines in an rss reader.
