Default Be Careful When Buying Domains On Domain Auction Sites

If you're looking for a new domain name or you're needing a domain name for your new business, then you should be careful about the domain name you buy on a domain auction site. The domain name could come with lots of baggage, like spam links that will stop the domain from ranking well unless those links are removed.

Verified Domains just did a recent test where they checked domain names up for auction on 3 popular domain auction sites:

GoDaddy Auctions

They found that 17 percent of the domains up for auction had spam problems, and were domains that have "baggage" like bad links pointing to them.

So, before you buy a domain name (even one that you're registering for the first time), you need to make sure that the domain name is clean and free of potential problems, like bad backlinks.

For example, I would go to Majestic.com or ahrefs.com or Open Site Explorer to look up the domain name's links to see if there are problems.

SEO since 1996, I've been doing internet marketing. I have the experience as an SEO expert, as well.
