Its all for the back link. Getting a back link from a good blog post is valuable. Its a challenge to get a back link from a good blog post or blog domain. As many times bloggers delete your links.

Yes, that's because if you think posting blog comments is a way to "build links" you're doing it wrong.

I cannot think of any way to put this any more plainly: DO NOT post blog comments if you're just there for the "link."

Post if you have something useful/interesting/entertaining to add to the conversation. Period.

If you happen to get a link from it, that's cool -- but "getting links" should never, never, never ever ever be the reason you post blog comments.

Blog comments that are only there in an attempt to get links are SPAM, pure and simple. SPAM. And blog owners who care about the integrity of their blogs will delete them, as they should.

Blog commenting is NOT EVER a valid "link building" activity.

Many online marketers and SEO managers still do blog commenting as part of their SEO strategies. Aside from its benefit on the ranking, we can also learn a lot of things in blog commenting. This is especially true when we have the same niche. Through searching for related blogs, we get some techniques to help us improve our SEO venture.

Blog commenting can be beneficial only if it is done on authoritative blogs. If the blog does not have a good domain authority and page rank, the blog commenting is not that useful.

If there is a link back to your site -- then great. But most are NOFOLLOW now.

That said... BLOG Commenting is a part of my 2014 strategy.

The goal is to get on blog posts that have a large number of viewers ---- and then add something of EXTREME value. So that click on your name and follow you to your site because they are interested inthe person that added so much value.

I agree with you! You really need to have authoritative blogs, first, before inserting more efforts in ranking and blog commenting.

No Follow and Do follow does not matter But Blog commenting is one of the best way to get links or traffic (which more important than PR juice) from other high authoritative website.

Please do not comment simply for the sake of backlinks. I had to clear a lot of spams on my blogs till I had no choice but to set all comments under moderation. These spammers did nothing good to their brands, and they don't seem to realize that the links are all no-follow.
