Thumbs up Any Recommendations Of Good Pdf Writer Software

Anyone can please reccomend any good pdf writer software products?
I am looking for an easy way to convert documents ( pictures, data sheets, word, excel ) to pdfs. There are many products around ( lower cost alternative to Adobe Acrobat ) but of what I tried so far each of them have some annoyances.

Within the programming community that I am part of this company has a great reputation.

Note that there are drivers available that install and look like just another printer to your system. Each of these types of solutions have advantages and disadvantages.

The (free) solution we use here at the office is PDFRedirect. Like most of the others, it installs as a printer driver, however you can launch the program independently for things like merging PDF documents, encrypting and other activities. There is also a Pro version ($20) with expanded capabilities for things like 128-bit encryption, inserting hyperlinks, adding watermarks, etc. It works great on Windows systems from Win98 through Vista.

The best I have been using is cutepdf or cuteprinter. Do a google search!

I have been using it for years during my masters and before that. A treat to have.

I agree with this. It allows you to create a PDF from anything you can send to a printer.
