Welcome aboard

For starters, with search engine optimization specifically having content within your pages related to your geographic areas is the first step in improving your rankings for those searching for your type of product and the geographic areas. For example, you could have content/pages highlighting your services related to each area/city.

Additionally, outside of search engine optimization - you may want to consider pay per click advertising with Google Adwords, Yahoo and/or Microsoft. You can setup advertising campaigns with settings that your ads are only distributed to users within your specified geographic area. For example, with Google Adwords you can select to only show your ads to those from California or specific city/areas if you wanted to focus it further.

Hi jupita12,

I had a quick look at one of your websites. While it was very slick, when I clicked on a product, it took me away from your website to the manufacturer's site where they offered the goods for sale.

To get online sales, the first thing you need to do is provide people with the means to buy from you

If you can do this, price your products aggressively, provide fast and reliable delivery and after sales support, your site will slowly get a reputation as a good place to buy.

Then you need to find where your potential buyers hang out on the Web, go there and invite them to try your service.

If your pricing and service is good, the buyers will start recommending you to each other.

Hello Jupita

Your turn-it-up.com has nothing to offer for the search engins to spider. Only images and no content. Content is very important for the spiders to read. You can check it here:
www dot gritechnologies.com/tools/spider.go?q=www dot turn-it-up.com/
Search your URL and check out the diagnostic view.

Same goes with your second link you provided. And don't send your visitors of to other site where they can buy directly.

I know this is a very old thread, but I saw it under "related threads" and clicked on it because I live in California and because California certainly needs to encourage more business (the unemployment rate here is bad).
As an ironic sign of the times, I tried going to the original poster's website (which I think was turn-it-up.com, cool name by the way), but it redirects to turn-it-upav.com, and that website no longer exists. I know a lot of websites don't make it, but it's a bummer that this person wanted to improve their business in California and it didn't work out. I hope the next "related thread" I see is a bit a happier.
