How do you plan to make future income on these old domains?

As to what their value might be, that depends on what they were used for in the past. A domain that was used for blackhat SEO (and got banned from the search engines) or that was used by an email spammer (and has been blacklisted for email) aren't worth all that much for a legitimate business until they've been "rehabilitated," which depending on the nature of how the domain was used and who's banned it could be a lot of work.

I agree with Torka. Consider why they are falling off, expiring. Often there is a 'reason'. If you go that route do your homework.

From an seo standpoint I think you lose any value of the domain registration length when the registration is changed upon purchase, not to mention when you change the content associated with the domain.
