This is definitely the area in which I am most weak ... and most terrified.
Do y'all share the feeling that SE positioning is precarious, at best? I always feel that way. It seems like I got to the positions I'm in because of some combination of luck and a very basic understanding of SEO techniques that are favored by the various engines. I mean, how many times have what they want to see changed, over the years? Yeesh!
I worry a lot
about making content changes as an experiment as I learn more about writing sales copy, and then seeing our sites drop off the SERPS. I shudder to think of the hours I'll need to put in to get our positions back.
The article has given me a ballpark in which I can toss some stuff around: "A direct marketing piece". I hope I have the guts to play with it.
Gimme a kernel recompile, any day!
