Default Can I Get Your Opinion On My New Business Idea?

Hi all and thank you in advance for reading this thread. I'm in the process of starting a garage organizing / remodeling business and I'm interested in hearing what people think of this idea. We are going to do everything from cleaning and organizing to floorings & cabinets. Start up investment isn't that much as we'll be running it out of my house at first and won't need to stock any inventory. Our target market would be middle to upper income level in particular car buffs that want a nice garage to show off their cars or families that there garage is more of a storage bin than useful space. Thanks for all your input.

Sounds like a great idea to me. I wouldn't limit the target market to car buffs though. I would love to have my garage made over, and I couldn't even tell you the make and model of my car!

...plus organizing & remodeling could extend throughout the house. Maybe you could expand to other utilitarian spaces like attics, basements, and utility rooms.

This is a great idea that has unlimited potential - even franchise potential! If you play your cards right, you should be able to get plenty of local, free media coverage. Of course, for the homeowners protection, you'll need to be bonded.

A nice and easy one to start and promote, leafleting, local paper advertising etc. You should do very well from the off. Good luck.

Sounds great! Like K&G said, don't limit yourself to just one niche...Think of numerous examples and ways for people to re-vamp their garages and business will come through in no time!

This is a very unique idea! I think you have a great niche and with the proper marketing which shouldn't take much investment at all, you will be well on your way!

Perhaps you can even expand to doing things like barns or bigger sheds or other types of storage areas instead of just garages.

As people mentioned above, don't limit yourself!

I wish you the best of luck.
