Smile Free Project Management Software

I am using a project management software company that provides a free trial

You can sign-up for a Free trial @ http://www.proofhub.com. It is similar to Google Wave as well as basecamp.

Can you tell me other project management software programs you are are using which are similar to Google wave and Basecamp software?

There are the top 5 most popular project management software (based on Alexa rank):
1. Basecamp
2. Zoho Projects
3. Freshbooks
4. Central Desktop
5. Deskaway

There are actually a lot of project management software aside from mentioned above and it's confusing which ones to use. The best way to choose which one would be best for you it to read reviews and compare the various software.

Here's a blog that compares project management software from each other: http://www.timedoctor.com/blog/2011/...e-alternatives
It also has a short review of each software for you to have an idea about them.

I have tried many project management software and prefer ones that run on desktop applications rather than web-based.

I use Latitude, which is a desktop application, to manage my projects. Desktop applications are better than web-based applications because they have more functionality and run faster.

I've been using projectpier. It's free, open source, and you just install it on your server. You can customize it as well.

Just like you've mentioned above there are many project management softwares in the market. Many, including the one I am using offer free trials. At our organizarion the IT team has implemented Microsoft's project collaboration software which has a comprehensive set of feature offerings, including portfolio and schedule management. It can also handle multiple tasks. Since you're looking out for one, make sure you check out their website .

I'd recommend taking a look at Workgroups. I used it for years at my last job and it was extremely helpful with keeping everyone on the same page.

I have since started my own business and use another product by the same company (Approval Manager) to handle my online proofing needs and manage feedback. There's a free version of that one.
