Default How To Balance Your Home and Business When You Work at Home

Here are some tips on how to make it work at home.

"Learn how you are more productive. Identify what type of work environment helps you work at your best. Are you more productive when you’re working at your desk or sitting on the couch? Your home office is your domain. Add personal items and things that help give you a positive attitude to help make you more productive."

Linda,

Thanks for sharing this article. I have found the hardest thing about working from home is knowing when to stop .. in an office there is always more work you *could* do, but since you have a schedule and want to get home you draw the line and stop. At home it is more difficult. When I find myself trying to bring dinner into my office I realize .. whoa, I need to go "home" for the day.

Linda,

It is a good article. I am also having a hard time finding the balance between the two. When I am in bed, I think of work. When I am at work, I think of sleeping.

I find one of the most difficult things about working from home is knowing when to switch off. One of the main problems in the "Global Internet" is that you sometimes deal with people in dramatically different time zones. I live in the UK and get tempted to log on to check emails late in the evening from the US. The problem is when you do get such an email it can sometimes lead to sitting at the PC for a few hours working on an issue - before you know it its way past midnight and you've missed your cocoa time!

Hi Linda,
Thanks for sharing the article and to answer - "to set my focus into one certain achievable goal", that's what I do. Before I do start on working, I make sure I set aside everything else. Finish what should be done and prepare what might I need before working for me to be not distracted. Because once I am, my attention will simply drift away.

Working productive at home is a hit goal of each individual who believe that they can make it. Motivation and the eagerness to succeed in our own is what I keep in mind.
