I have over 7 yrs in telemarketing under my belt. From Mortgage Leads & Group Insurance, to home improvement appointment setting. After relocating to an area where telemarketing is practically dead, I went to freelancing. Everything was great until I went into the real estate field. My best advice would be to stick with the same field but change the venue. For example, Mortgage Lead Generation is becoming stagnant, but forclosure relief services are booming. So if you're already comfortable with the real estate arena, try finding a different sector of the market that may be on the upswing.
Alot of the companies that offer affiliate payouts for Directv take care of the scheduling and installation for you, but these have a notoriously high cancellation rate, so it could look great until the cancellations and chargebacks start coming in. It can be lucrative, but keep a close watch on your campaign.
If you're steadfast about getting out of the arena altogether, try to stay away from phone sales. Stay with lead generation or appointment setting, as most of these pay whether the prospect closes or not.
