Default Interested In Retargeting

Does anyone have experience with retargeting ads and recommendations for companies to work with?

I'd like to cookie people when they hit our site and then serve up a visual reminder of our company as they trek through the internet. I've seen a lot of companies doing this and think it creates a more powerful impression and helps with memory recall.

Thanks!
Jeff

Default Retargeting Companies

We've used a couple of retargeting companies with our site. The two that I would recommend are Dotomi and mediaFORGE. mediaFORGE has some really great technologies that serve ads with the exact product the consumer was viewing before they exited your site. Another tactic I would recommend is abandoned cart emails. We work with a company called Exact Target for our abandoned cart campaigns and they have the best conversion rates of all our email campaigns.

Heavy disclaimer: My company actually does retargeting for SMBs, on Facebook (which is new!) and the web. All self-service with v. low minimums.

You can read about us on Techcrunch here:

We utilize remarketing through our Google Adwords platform. It works well for us, But in general I think remarketing would be best for companies that have a longer sales cycle. This way remarketing would help as it would keep you in front of customers during their buying phase.

Agreed. My industry has a shorter buying cycle, so I don't think retargeting would work for us.

I love re-marketing. I do it in Adwords. You can also do it with facebook.
My tip is to target certain pages on your website and directly target those visitors with a specific ad.
If they visit a specific page, you already know what they want. That can give a great ROI.

Generally 2% of shoppers convert on the first visit to an online store. Retargeting brings back the other 98%. Retargeting works by keeping track of people who visit your site and displaying your retargeting ads to them as they visit other sites online.

Adroll.com is great for retargeting.

Wow, all 98% comes back through retargeting? I might have to try it out then.

I'm actually confused about Re-targeting

Can somebody explain it more detailed.

Like how does it works?
In what part or stuff does this strategy affect our sites performance/engagement to our potential clients?

And many other. Thank you in advance.

Because as I read it, it really sounds great. But how can we start this kind of strategy?
