Default New to Forums Essential Skincare =)

Hi everyone I am new to these forums, they look very helpful as I just opened my own business Essential Skincare www.essentialskincare.1hwy.com.
I have been working the past several years as a model/actress/make-up artist in Hawaii and started making my own skin care products because I wanted to use use products that contained high amounts of proven effective ingredients, no chemicals/fragrances/skin irritants, and all natural oils and essential oils. I started making all my own products for acne, anti aging, cellulite and more using ingredients such as collagen, hyaluronic acid, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, green tea extracts, lagae extracts, vitamin C, A, E, B3, B5, Coenzyme Q10 and much more. You can read about all the ingredients I use and there benefits here: Ingredient Information

I just opened this website making these products available to the public and would love if you guys could check out my page and give me any advice you think might be helpful. I've been thinking of also opening an Ebay Store.

So thats a little bit about me and my business and I look foward to conversing with you all and getting as much advice as possible about promoting my online skin care store.

Default Welcome

Welcome to the forum!

I took a look at your website. It looks fine, but two things could be easily improved.

The black links on a dark blue background are hard to read.

The photos/images could use alt tags so that 1. they give more information when visitors point to them; 2. they can be read aloud for visually impaired visitors; 3. they add extra keywords for search engines to record!

There's tons of past articles available from various links on the forum

Thank you for the advice. I just wanted to add that I changed the color of the link text on the side menu like you suggested. Please let me know if that's better. I agree with you and think it made a huge difference and is much easier to read.

I'm not sure how to do the extra text you suggested though.

Thanks again=)

Default Much Better

The links are much clearer, though the bottom 2 still appear to be black?

To include an alt tag, try this:
Code:
 <img src="./images/mypic.jpg" alt="beauty products" />
I couldn't help but notice a 'hitcounter' on the page. You might like to take a look at www.sitemeter.com for much more than just hit counting, and it's free.
I've lost count of the number of people I know who use sitemeter, and they're all pleased with it (no, i don't have shares in the company!)
