Default How Important Is It To Be Focused?

Every small business has its problems and being able to be focused with the goal to create a solution for each of these defined problems is all important.

But what if you don’t know what the problem really is?

So maybe you are you selling X product and losing money every time you sell one. What’s happening? You are competing with the store down the street and they have decided to deeply discount product X.

So what to do?

You think the only solution is to follow to keep your existing clients. In certain situations you might think this is the only way to stay in the game.

But how can you stay in the game and lose $20.00 on every sale at the deeply discounted prices. Next where are the discounted prices going to real go as you compete on price alone?

Before going down that trail you might first put on your thinking cap to find what I call an unanticipated value. If this is a physical product and you are the undisputed expert on how use this product then create a download product that shows the best ways to use this product.

You need to leverage your expertise and create something of value that the competition doesn’t have access to. Here is a list of ideas:

1) a download product,
2) a fixed term membership,
3) PDF with embedded video,
4) Auto-responder E-Course,
5) series of short reports,

Or anything else that leverages your experience and/or know how.

Here is how it goes…

Your download has a $47.00 value that if the customer buys the physical product from the competition at $20.00 less than your price but knows to get the full value of the product the customer has to buy your “How To” product for $47.00.

What you do is to sell the physical product at a price you make money at and you offer your download product for free then losing nothing. The power of the unanticipated value item gives you control of the market.

What is the solution to the price war business?

You need to be "focused" and become the authority of your niche, which means you can then write your own ticket to success.

In today’s information world you might not be acceptable for brainy quotes but everyone has the opportunity to be an undisputed expert.

You just need to take action….RR

Default Unfair advantage

Would you immediately plan for Brand X customers who purchased the product at $20 to benefit from your complimentary products for a price?
Would you unbundle each product at an even higher price (if sold individually)?

My thinking is you will get largest share of the "informed" potential market.
You could also target previous Brand X, Y, or Z customers.

1) Yes I would, 2)Are you talking about my download products?

3) if you are the undisputed expert yes you have that potential, 4) by all means...
