Default Using Free Classified Ads Website To Promote Your Business

Using classified ad websites allows you to place free ads with pictures and descriptions, including contact information, online where the entire world can see. This will drive traffic to your website and also increase your google page ranking.

Some classified ads website allows you to include your website url on your ad for free. http://www.easy2sell.net

Sorry, can't honestly agree with your statement about classified ads sites helping you.

I haven't looked at this particular website; but then again I haven't bothered looking at a classified ads website in about 10 years, so feel free to say that THIS one is special, I still won't bother looking.

Usually classified ad sites are full of links on one page; are totally discounted by the search engines (in fact are, in real terms in competition with the Search Engines and I know who my money is on to win that one); and they often want links back from you too (wrong on so many levels).

As for the traffic coming through, I'd really want to know how they expect to get their traffic and why that person may be remotely interested in visiting my site from there.

Forget classified ad sites; look for a blog or a site specifically about your niche that will genuinely want and actively canvass for your likely customers; then get an advert or your link (paid or not so long as it is handled right), or an article you have written for them (with a credit link, or copy link back to you) on there.
That is a link worth having; it may or may not help you from an SEO point of view, but if you choose right you really may get some business through the link (AND that is a link the Search Engines are likely to like).

Oh, man, I'm sorry goodman, but that's some seriously outdated advice.

The 900-pound gorilla in the classified ad websites is Craigslist. Seriously -- ask anyone you meet on the street to name another classified ad site. No diss intended to your site, but frankly, if there were going to be any traffic or SEO benefit from a classified listing, I would expect it to come from a listing on Craigslist.

But before everybody goes rushing out to spam Craigslist, keep in mind... I just checked, and they're adding a "nofollow" attribute to the links in their listings, so those links won't help with SEO. IMHO, any classified-ad site that aspires to be considered reputable will do the same, because otherwise they'll quickly be overrun with spam from people who are still "optimizing" like it's 1999.

There are so many better, more reliable (less spammy) ways of getting good-quality traffic, posting your business info to a bunch of classified ad sites is a poor use of your time and energy.

If you can please re-read the title of the thread again, it says use free classified ads to promote your business. Adding your business website url was an additional benefits. Google crawl these websites multiple times a day and your url can be pickup almost instantly. What have you got to loose?

Cheers mate.

Just because we have the option to add our URL doesn't mean we should. Having a million backlinks means nothing if it doesn't come from a quality source.

I agree with the others, too, classified ads are outdated. A serious business doesn't look for another serious business on a free classified ads website.

What is the page rank of your site? If it is not 5 or higher, it won't benefit my website which has a low page rank.

imagodev, sites don't have PageRank.

PageRank is assigned by page. It's very common for the home page of a site to have reasonably decent PageRank, while deeper-buried interior pages have next to nothing.

Beyond that, the PageRank you can see on the Toolbar or in online PageRank checkers is not the "real" PageRank that Google uses for rankings. (I don't care what PageRank checkers might claim, there's not a one of them that has any "inside" information to get you the real PageRank of anything. Google quite simply does not release that information to any outside parties. Not to anybody.)

Toolbar PageRank is just an estimate, and an outdated one at that. It only gets updated a couple of times a year, while the real internal PageRank that Google actually uses in their rankings gets updated constantly.

What this means is the real PageRank of any page you're looking at is almost certainly different -- possibly radically different -- from what the toolbar shows.

When you're looking for links, stop paying attention to useless metrics like Toolbar PageRank and instead seek out links from pages on quality websites that target the same audience your site does. If you focus on getting links from valuable resources -- links that can bring you real human traffic -- you will naturally be seeking out links from pages that Google will consider valuable today and on into the future.

And that will definitely help your pages, not only with rankings but with direct traffic.

Also, I took a look at your website and there are some broken links on your site goodman. You may want to look into getting those fixed.

I didn't look through all of your links but it looks like USA, UK, Trinidad And Tobago all came back with errors when I tried clicking on them. Also I didn't click on every state in the US but the ones I did click on seemed broken as well.

I have clients whose sites see over 300 visits a day from an hour's worth of CL posting.

It translates into huge income over time.

Don't underestimate CL for certain niches. It's not a perfect fit for everything, but for some it's just stunning.

Classified is really effective, other way in promoting your products or business to people, the easiest I think.
