Default Sales Lead Generation Companies

I have received a few e-mails from companies that say the have inside sales people, not telemarketers (not sure what the difference is really) and that they offer Pay for Performance pricing etc.

I was wondering if anyone has used any of these types of services and if they are effective, or do they just ruin your business reputation.

I'm talking about companies like SalesDeisel, InfoUSA, SalesGenie, etc.

Does anyone have experience hiring out cold calls? Thanks, John

I've tried Sales Genie but they didn't do the calling for me they provided me with a list and I did my own calling, the list was pretty played out I got alot of customers telling me that I was like the 10th company to call them, I have no experiences with the other companies you listed.
I did find a telemarketing company that calls and sets up appointments for my sales reps and that was a better option, my sales rep was able to close 4 out of 10 business with that type of sales lead.
I also tried quote leads where the customer is expecting 5 quotes from 5 different companies. That type of lead was OK not as good of a closing ratio than the one where they set up appointments.
