I am working on a list of keywords from the past few months, but still those keywords are not ranking in the search engine. Can anyone please help me by suggesting some techniques.

Hi,
There are a lot of factors why your site is not ranking. First, you have to check whether or not the site is SEO ready..Meaning, are there no duplicate content in your site? Are the URLs well-structured? Do you do proper tagging? Title Tag? Description?

Do you have enough links? DO you have enough content in your site?
Are these links with good quality?

These are a few of the things that you have to answer and determine...

Thanks for your suggestion, actually my site is ranking and even the pages are indexed, certain keywords of the indexed page are ranking and some are not.

Your site is writing for what keywords? Even if your site is indexed there is still no assurance that your keywords will rank.. Being indexed is only a part of the whole SEO process.

You have to change the set of keywords you were working on. If you get backlinks for the same keywords everytime, they will get over optimized. Make sure that you are using keyword variations for getting the best results.

Default Some Basic Advice

Hey Rosie,

If you're referring to the Axiom Cordages site, let me suggest a couple things:
  • Keyword Map - Create a Keyword Map to Stay Focused on Your Target Terms. Craft on-page content focused on these terms.
  • On-Page Elements - Optimize Your Page to Include Headings, Image Alt Text and Other Basics
  • Webmaster Tools - Confirm That There Are No Accessibility Issues With Google Webmaster Tools
  • Competitive Research - Identify Sites That Rank For Targeted Terms and Determine What They're Doing That You're Not. Moz Tools Make This Pretty Easy. Afterward, Pursue the Tactics That You're Competitors Are Using

I hope this helps.

Find relevant keywords for your website and set in your website.
Build high PR and quality backlinks. You should share infographic and guest post. It should be viral.

Do social bookmarking and forum posting of those keywords. These techniques are very effective to improve the ranking.

There are a lot of things to do, in a nutshell here are the important ones:

1) Get consistent high quality links to your site from relevant websites
2) Make sure your on page content is optimized for the keyword (no more than 3% density along with other things)
3) Consistently post fresh, quality content to your site.

If you do those things, you will see your rank increase.
