Default Convert Leads Into Customers, And Customers Into Super-customers!

Here is one on how a newsletter can get you some customers.

"The easiest way to do this, both on- and off-line, is through a content newsletter. There is no doubt that content sells. Useful content builds trust and credibility, and over time turns your customer from a stranger to a friend."

I have three retail websites with a newsletter on each one. I'm amazed how many people sign up for the newsletter without being a customer first...then, transition to being a customer after receiving one or two newsletters.

I feel the reason for this is that I write to them as I was speaking with them on the phone. No fluff (except for small reminders of dates coming up or to wish them a safe & fun season), no ads...just me talking to them about new products, some that have been out of stock, etc., what is going on with our businesses, and contact information.

I find that when I send out a newsletter (no more than one every 10 days unless a lot of my customers have been waiting for a product that just came in) my orders go up significantly for the following 5 days or so. That is with both returning customers and new customers.

I agree definately with content. Aweber says it takes up to 6 mails before a prospect makes a purchase. If the newsletters are interesting and not always a sales pitch, this is what brings in prospects. Trust buils up between both parties
