Twitter gotta be a really good tool for marketing purposes. Especially if your business always has deals and promotions coming up. The constant tweet you send can hype up your business and get people excited to follow and check on your company.

I guess it's Twitter. However, video-based social media websites like... youtube may take the lead, as acquiring information rendered through video input is faster and preferable.

I think Twitter and MySpace are the next biggest social networks after Facebook, but Facebook is going to beat them all.

The only one I use with any regularity is facebook. I have a nice fan page with active participants. I feel it's been helpful in boosting my site.

Myspace won't be around much longer. Twitter I tried for awhile, but it felt that the only people on there were people with something to sell. I do get some good traffic from stumbleupon, but I don't use it, someone must be stumblin my site.

Hope that helps.

I've had the most success with Twitter and YouTube. StumbleUpon has also provided some value for me as well, but it's definitely more tricky.

The best analogy that I've heard is that Twitter is where you meet people and Facebook is where you become friends with them. That's how I've been able to use them.

Default Thanks

Thanks for the advice.
Twitter seems like the next best to FB.
I have that and I will look at My Space next.
Then the others recommended.
I liked C's advice:
"Twitter is where you meet people and Facebook is where you become friends with them."
The only trouble is that I find FB so hard to use.
So many unwritten rules.
When I joined them I FB sent a column full of people that I might like to add as friends.
I clicked about six. FB suspended me because too many said that they didn't know me. I got into trouble over something else.
Now I'm scared to do anything in case it offends them and it's third time out for good.
Do other people have trouble with FB?
Any advice?
Anyhow thanks for the help given

I think the second top social media is Twitter, of course. Recently, I have read that Facebook and Twitter have practically the same percentage of users. Moreover, most people who have their accounts in facebook have accounts in twitter.
