Default Some Tips To Improve Your E-Commerce Site

Minimize the amount of pages it takes to order.. combine signup pages, etc. The buyer wants to finish the order not wait for it to start.

On sign up success pages, advertise a product. One of your products (a hot new item ) should be displayed in full detail.

Build community. As your site grows you will notice routine visitors. (some of my stores have up to 80% repeat traffic. ) These people are who you want around, they love to shop online. Build a forum, a weblog, chat box, something to create community!

If you can accept a portion a your sale going off to an affiliate, I suggest running an affiliate program. These programs can really increase sales, link popularity, and a whole sleu of other things

Write a Newsletter.. Talk about your products, incorperate them into stories. How your product helps its buyers BE VERY INFORMATIVE.

Well, some very good tips You've shared. I want to add some more-
If anyone want to design an e-commerce website to let grow the business over the web, then one should go for a CMS based website, which is more interactive way to handle site visitors and business as well in real time. There are some other useful applications like CRM, ERP to make more user friendly ecommerce websites. I know my favorate, rupizmedia.com, they can plan a good e-business with its advanced web applications launched recently.

Thanks & Regards

Default More Ecommerce Store Tips...

Website content is often overlooked as an essential part of a great ecommerce site. I've had an online store for a few years now by WebStore by Amazon.com, and I've learned that a great site comes along with great content. I sell mp3 players, so I have an "MP3 Players Resources" section with articles on how to choose mp3 players, the differences between each, etc. A lot of people go to Google and search for things like that, so I get so many hits on my Resources pages, and many of those visitors then go on to buy from my store.

It just shows you how giving your visitors informative content piques their interest in your site and increases customer confidence. Aren't you more likely to buy from the site that helps you out?

Yes, newsletter is one effective way of promotion.

Andrea, you must attract your customers on your website. Put on top if you have Promotions/Sales and great offers on your services like discounts, freebies, etc.
