These people are earning significant disposable income is are ready to use it on items imported from developed countries.

International expansion, however, comes with its own risks and stress. This is a tough one. I think the best way to save on the travel cost (plane ticket, hotel, food, etc) is to NOT travel but to do things online (video-chat). That said, I've heard many people say it is worth it to go to China (for example) and meet with people face to face and see the factory where you're getting your stuff made.

I can't agree more. Yes, you need partners, customers or vendors in India or China, but travel internationally is no need for you.
Online (video-chat) is useful, or how about a China Division with China product sourcing, China warehousing. What your need is pay a company or someone to actually do everything(shipping, picking, packing or customization service).
Try ChinaDivision to make business more efficiency, less cost, always in control.

The haste in the demand of businesses to expand overseas or foreign investors taking interest on a foreign market for a possibility of a more productive generation of profit resulted to the emergence of consulting firms or companies who specializes in helping those investors to setup their businesses, having it registered by obtaining documents from necessary government agencies for the business to operate legally.

I agree it is better to avoid travel to the extent possible and utilize technology such as video conference, etc. However, as you mentioned many times it is worth spending that money to meet people face to face. You can accomplish a great deal in few hours of face to face meeting that you cannot do in several virtual ones.
