Try to avoid Mondays, and holidays, definitely. But as long as you have powerful mailers, your message will still get through, regardless of the day of the week they arrive.

Lightbulb Tuesday and Wednesday

I do send my mails for e-mail marketing on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. I believe that Tuesday is the best day but Wednesday is also good. It is effective in my part based on experience. Choosing those days prevents you from getting in the back log for a lot of mails sent from weekends. Also doing email marketing on Tuesdays and Wednesdays allows you to have enough time to get replies on the following days before the week ends.

Smile No does'nt mean no until ...

There is an old saying in sales "no does'nt mean no until you have heard it 5 times!"

I do not know whether you have the resource to follow up your mail shot but a good question to ask your prospective customer is "no-does that mean never or just not now"

Most, but not all, will respond "just not now" and then it is easy you just say "the last thing I want to be is a nuisance may I call you in 3 months or would you prefer six?"

your Prospects then fall into the category of reasonably warm and you will be amazed with polite persistence how you will be invited to provide your service.
