If we search the name of website without www. or extension like .com and website appears in search then it is not penalized nor banned and if it doest not appear then it may be penalized or banned.

You might also want to check out Google Search Console and look at your Search Analytics. If your daily "impressions" and "average position" are staying steady or improving, you're probably OK.

If website stopped appearing even on its domain name there's something fishy . There are so many tools ( website) to check if website being sandboxed or not . Normally new domains are sandboxed for 6 months timeframe.

To check if website being banned . If there's sudden total loss in ranking or website is disappeared completely . Website not coming even on its domain name. Then there are chances that website got struck with google penguin algorithm

In order to check if your website is penalized with a Manual Penalty, check the Google Search Console's Manual Actions section.

If the domain doesn't show up in the search results at all for a search query for the domain name, it may be banned in Google.

If the domain name or web page won't show up for a search query using your title tag in quotes, then it's most likely having an issue--and a penalty of some sort is present.
