It would be ideal to perform a background check on the backlink profile and if you find any sneaky or spammy links to your site, you could start by filing a reconsideration request.

Kindly check your site's profile linking to track spam or bad links then remove them through contact with the administrator or removal request to Google but it will take time.

Use Google disavow tool and remove all spam backlinks.
If you have credentials for every links that you have built manually, go for it and remove your website link from those platforms.

You've got to concentrate on the Quality and article word length in order to be effective with this new Google update. Google is filtering out all the sites that are obviously using "SEO tactics" to rank on keywords. They key is to adapt and adjust your content to accommodate the update.

One of the best ways to do this is to
Use the keyword phrase in the title
use the keyword phrase at the beginning of the article
Use your keyword phrase as a sub-header for each paragraph.

Use "no follow" links in your content pointing to a relevant source.

This is by no means the absolute answer but it's a start with this new panda update.
