If you know how to rank, then SEO is obviously better than PPC if you don't want to spend much money.

Why?

because SEO ensures free targeted traffic to your site. But SEO takes lots of time and effort. If you have a handsome amount of budget then PPC is the best option for you. Because, it wont waste your time, you'll see the results within few hours of starting the campaign.

We can't pick one, both are helpful in their own way. If you got money to spend then use PPC, else always prefer SEO (Free yet powerful).

There are lots of things to consider like the needs of the particular website if it is best for PPC to take fast results, SEO that will take time but worth of the long term duration of results or both them. Depends on the capacity and the experience.

PPC is ideal for new businesses to generate quick leads but if your niche is competitive then it will cost you more but SEO is although a slow process but as compared to PPC it is not that much expensive. Once you start ranking for your primary keywords then you will get good ROI.

Both are good SEO as well as PPC. If you are comparing both SEO is little bit slow to represent result than PPC. If you are able to invest then PPC is always better for sales leads.

With respect, that's kind of like asking "What's better? A big billboard or a long-term campaign of establishing my company as a trustworthy source for our products and services?"

In short, they both have their uses it's really just a question of what you're trying to accomplish.

There's also a fundamental difference between the two. Whereas PPC is more of a physical "thing" that you do- SEO is more of a long-term strategy that includes several components. You don't really just wake up one day and say "I'm going to "do" SEO today" as much as you can decide to employ a PPC campaign in a relatively short amount of time.

The short answer though, as others have said, is tied into what you're hoping to accomplish. If you want to drive people to your website right now then go with PPC. If you're looking to employ a long-term strategy of establishing your business and your website as a reliable and authoritative source for your industry then formulating an SEO strategy is your best bet.

Both should probably be used to varying degrees.

PPC is good for fast results with more investment.
SEO is good for late results with low investment

I know we always suggest both if possible, especially for new domains or domains with start-up SEO value. Of course, depends on some things. I try to stick with white hat approaches, so naturally it takes more time to rank.

It only makes sense to have both and other marketing channels to test and see which brings the best results. We'd throw social media and email marketing into the equation.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but traffic types converting, isn't organic traffic ahead of PPC? I've always say

1. Organic traffic
2. Email
3. PPC

When it comes to conversions, goals, ect.

I know the order changes per market, but majority speaking, I see this order a lot.

What a lot of people don't realize that landing pages need to convert. As SEOs, all you can do is deliver traffic, so SEO is always half of the goal. Nobody cares about ranking first page and they shouldn't, it's all about $$$. Always

PPC is more beneficial than SEO only if you want instant result otherwise SEO is a long time running factor to get better result on SERP. SEO has no costing money activity whereas PPC is a paid advertisement where you have to set a bid for the keywords you want. According to the bid you have to pay money to Google for each click by the users. This ad is shown on the first page of Google search engine when a user types keyword which has been selected by you.
