I found an interesting article that listed 25 part time home based business ideas
. I was expecting to see the usual suggestions, but this one also included some new and original ideas such as plant leasing and maintenance, mobile window tint, home and office organizer, home inspection, etc.
I thought there were some original ideas and suggestions included in the article and decided to share it with all of you.
But what I'm really interested in is receiving additional suggestions from you and developing this into an informative thread for others out there looking to operate a home based business. . . .
Do any of the suggestions listed apply to you?
Is anyone out there currently employing any of these home based business ideas?
I'll add my suggestion first to get the thread rolling. My suggestion would be: exterior window cleaning services.
I personally know someone that has turned that particular niche into a large, lucrative home based business that has been in operation for almost 10 years now. Very little startup funding, if any, is needed. A truck, a ladder, some newspaper (doesn't leave streaks or cotton bits on the surface) and some ambition. This particular company started out charging $2 per window. Almost every home in existance has at least 10 windows and it only takes 20 minutes or so to perform the task. If you can do 3 homes per hour - that's at least $60 an hour. And once neighbors see the truck in the area, they will approach you for the services as well. It is quite possible to receive your customers in clusters, thus cutting down on expenses (fuel) and travel time.
A home computer and some flyers left in doorways helps to increase the customer base and is a low cost way to market the business.
Any other suggestions?
